Industrial & Commercial Superintendents
Steinberger Construction is seeking superintendents with capabilities to manage construction projects ranging in size from $100,000 to $5M.
Responsibilities of the Superintendent
- Responsible for all aspects of safety on the jobsite.
- Communicate effectively with owners, architects, subcontractors, and others.
- Lead and motivate crews to perform at the highest levels of productivity.
- Work with project manager to track and accelerate the project schedule. Must pre-plan manpower, equipment, and material needs.
- Multi-task, manage time effectively, and use computer & mobile technology effectively
- Effectively manage a team of craftsmen and subcontractors
- Possess a thorough knowledge of the industrial and commercial construction process, including each construction trade and best management practices
- Read and interpret financial reports, project documents, architectural plans, and engineering plans.
- Monitor quality of the project to ensure that all aspects exceed industry standards and highest levels of customer satisfaction.
- Coordinate site layout, housekeeping, and organization to achieve best in class site conditions.
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field and/or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of progressively responsible field operations experience in a general contracting environment, including, at a minimum, verifiable experience managing projects ranging in size from $100,000 to $5M.
- Bilingual ability a plus.
