This 105,000 SF manufacturing building was constructed for the assembly of large diesel engines at the Caterpillar Large Engine Center in Lafayette, Ind. The project was delivered on a design & build, fast track basis, and includes: augured pile foundations, heavy duty floor slabs, an 8’ tall architectural block wainscot wall, insulated sandwich panel walls, a heavy conventional steel framework supporting overhead cranes, white painted structural steel, high speed overhead doors, and a single ply roof system.
