Logansport Savings Bank
Logansport Savings bank had occupied this same location since 1961, and had experienced steady growth, and had been expanded several times, including once in the mid 80’s by Steinberger. When they decided to do a major expansion and remodel, they engaged the services of a private architectural firm, however the design came in considerably over budget.
Discussions with Steinberger led to the suggestion of a design & build arrangement. The Steinberger team developed conceptual ideas and preliminary budgets that were acceptable, and was hired to design and build the project at a significant cost savings.
Work consisted of complete site re-work, selective demolition, a 7,000 SF two story addition, complete renovations to 5,500 SF of existing building, a new drive through, and blending the exterior of the facility seamlessly together with a colored standing seam roof, and stone and “stucco” exterior walls. All was of this completed on a rather crowded site, on a tight schedule, while keeping the bank open and operational during construction.
