This project involved complete design and construction of a new maintenance shop for heavy equipment at WMI’s Oak Ridge landfill in Cass County, Indiana. The building utilizes a Butler pre-engineered building system with foam core sandwich-panel walls, a standing seam roof with R-30 insulation, special rubber floors to handle heavy equipment traffic, built-in lubrication equipment, maintenance offices and support facilities.

Steinberger has been involved with WMI for many years, completing several projects around the region, including reconstruction of transfer stations, and construction of waste to energy facilities.
