Overview
Steinberger Construction partnered with Frito-Lay to deliver a series of high-impact infrastructure upgrades and facility expansions at their Frankfort, Indiana manufacturing plant. Each project was strategically developed to support production capacity, enhance operational flow, and meet the strict standards of a food-grade environment—all while minimizing disruption to daily operations.
The scope included cleanroom construction, machine-specific foundation work, and structural expansions—all designed with the long-term performance of Frito-Lay’s advanced processing equipment in mind. Upgrades to siding and building envelopes provided improved durability, while new loading dock configurations allowed for broader trailer compatibility and more efficient shipping logistics.
The team also executed heavy-duty concrete roadways to support continuous truck traffic and installed a 25-foot-deep oil separation pit to ensure environmental compliance for industrial runoff management.
